General Information

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the NEASC Leadership Conference, to be held in person in Boston, Massachusetts, November 20-22, 2024.

Theme: Cultivating Common Purpose

Connecting our learning communities around shared purpose is not just a choice, but a necessity. As educational leaders in a world of diverse cultures, values, and conflict, it is more important than ever to put the well-being of students at the center of everything we do. By encouraging diplomacy and candor in our schools, we can build common ground and shift conversations toward meeting the needs of all students. We know there is a deep connection between student well-being and academic success; as leaders, we must cultivate compassionate learning communities that will empower students to navigate the complexities of the world beyond school with empathy and resilience.

Your session should align with the conference theme and may include topics such as:

  • Building inclusive school cultures
  • Mission and purpose
  • Managing difficult conversations and conflict
  • Fostering student agency and engagement
  • Media literacy/information and disinformation
  • Leveraging technology for educational equity
  • Engaging with diverse stakeholders
  • Leadership in uncertain times
  • Education and the evolving political landscape

Audience: K-12 educational leaders (superintendents, principals, assistant principals, division leaders, curriculum coordinators, etc.) from public, private, and international schools across New England and around the world.

Sessions: 60 minutes We encourage speakers to model an innovative learning design in their session.

Student Voice: Inclusion of student voices and/or participation in sessions is highly encouraged.

NEASC Standards: We are always interested in showcasing practices aligned with the NEASC Standards for Accreditation and encourage you to demonstrate alignment of your topic with the Standards. You can review the NEASC Standards on our website at neasc.org/standards.
